I am working on a Hexagon quilt as you go. It was already started when I received it from an auction. The hexagons are a large one on bottom and a smaller one on top with batting in between the layers and then there is a ladys hat appliqued on top of the smaller hexagon. And then you satin stitch them together. Haven't got to far on the quilt yet.

Thanks I'm glad you like it. I like it too, my goal was to finish it for our Idaho camping trip. It looks really pretty in the trailer. It looks pretty on our bed too. But in the trailer, its even better.

Thanks, I quilted it myself on a regular machine, the batting is a low-loft so I was able to fit it in the throat. And I had great outdoor lighting! Up close it doesn't look that great but thats OK with me. It was fun to get most of the quilting done out side.

Thanks, I thought because the pieces are really big it would be fast and super easy. But it wasn't that fast or easy. But I bet way faster that a grandmothers garden type hexagon quilt. I do like the tiny hexes.

Wow, this is only your second quilt? What a great job you did and I love your fabric choices. Was your first quilt the one pictured in your avatar? I really like it, too!

Thanks and yes, my first quilt is the sampler in my avatar. I took a beginning quilting class. I like your avatar, do you have a feather weight?
