All time favorite movies

Some of my favorites are:
Any adaptation of a Jane Austin book - love that period
Silver Streak (with Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder) - cracks me up. Actually any move with those two is whacky and fun.
The Princess Bride - cute and sweet and romantic
Men in Black - both I and II are funny

I generally enjoy any movie with a happy ending, however my favorites are generally movies with sequels. I like to keep the characters around if I like them. (I'm the same way with books!)
Stars Wars series
Lord of the Rings series
Harry Potter series
Gone with the Wind (ok, not a series but a REALLY long movie!)

Oh my I have soooo many favorite movies. Many have been listed already. But movies I can watch over and over again are:
The Man from Snowy River
Dances with Wolves
and believe it or not Avatar. I just rented it recently and I loved it. I watched it 4 times before sending it back. I plan on putting it on my wish list for Christmas.
I am also a big fan of the Disney animated films both traditional and pixar ones.

The Parent Trap (the Hayley Mills, Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara one) - my all-time favorite. I'll never outgrow it!
Oliver! (the one with Mark Lester and Oliver Reed) - talk about a movie with just about everything: great story, singable songs, fabulous scenery
The Ten Commandments - awesome cinema!
My Cousin Vinny - hilarious and feel-good stuff
The Frisco Kid - same reasons as My Cousin Vinny
Rude Awakenings - aw, I'm a wannabe hippie, and Eric Roberts looked so good in his long hair, and Cheech was adorable... uh, another hilarious and feel-good one
Twelve Angry Men - awesome, thought-provoking
Erin Brockovich - c'mon, Julia Roberts and a very satisfying story...
