I have nothing (other than my DH) that eats, sleeps, pees or poops (hope that's not too graphic for everyone). Life is much simpler, quieter and cleaner. My pets are my 10 sewing machines and 2 sergers.

He's a flame point himalayan. He's got the "baby doll" face, the really flat one? You can't tell it much in that pic, but he looks like he walked into a wall! LOL!

I think Himalayan's are just naturally lazy.

No cats...I'm allergic to 'em too. There is a possibility I may not be allergic to siamese cats tho. Our doggie wouldn't tolerate a cat - no matter what! :-)

Over the years we've owned several dogs and when my DD and her two girls lived with us for about 5 years, we had my daughter's Quaker Parrot (Tweets) with us. Many times while I'd be sewing "Tweets" would be on the nearby table next to the window and I'd hear, "Hi There, whatcha doin?" and I'd automatically smile and answer with, "I'm sewing". Then I'd look over to see that "Tweets" was actually looking out the window and trying to converse with other birds. And before moving in with us, when my DD was going through her divorce and had to work, she'd leave her radio on an easy pop program to keep Tweets entertained while she was gone all day. Apparently about 2 hours after she'd leave for work the station would change over to hip-hop music, so once they all began living at our house, Tweets would entertain us by singing rap songs and dancing along his perch, with his head bopping to the music he was singing. And we were amazed that we could identify the dozens of songs Tweets would sing.
I have had birds off and on my whole life. We don't have any at the moment, because my chihuahua hates them.

We had 2 Quaker parrots that are at my friends house now. They were so smart. Great little talkers. One would whistle the Andy Griffith song and dance from side to side, LOL!

My boys would love that bird! They love rap music, and tried so hard to teach Clyde to rap. Nothing doing, he was an old fashioned kind of guy!

    Heres a pic of them:

We have plenty of dogs, too, LOL! We did have 5, and one disappeared from my yard, so that made 4. Well, then my MIL had me take another Chihuahua she had, so now we are back up to 5.

The cat loves them! He thinks he's a dog sometimes, since he's never been around other cats.

I am very allergic to cats. They can actually cause me to stop breathing. I do have a guinea pig though. :)

I thought it was a natural progression. I have seven cats and three dogs. Live in the country, have a pet door, so they come and go at will. But they all know to find me in the craft room. Mimi is Chief Quilt Instector and usually wants a close up inspection of whatever I am doing. My avatar is a shot of Baby taking quilting lessons from Eleanor Burns, just like I do. Someday Baby will join Mimi on the sewing/cutting/ironing tables and get out of the garbage cans!
