It was a pattern given to us for a class with Mark Lipinski. He designed it for the class. Actually, everyone's was different as he just had us make pieces, then we could lay them out any way we wanted to. If I can find the instructions ( they should be with my other patterns,but.... ) I can give them to you if you PM me. Glad you like the quilt!

I saw one in the photo sections on here a week or so ago. It was like a log cabin with black and white, the center square was red. it was striking!

Here's one more to add to all the others. This is a D9P and I used 10 different fabrics to really mix it up.

I agree. If you want quick and simple the Disappearing 9 Patch is perfect. Here's a couple done with just three fabrics each. Squares in the blue were cut 3.5 inches, squares in pink were 4.5.

I am in the progress of making one of these now, and it looks fantastic!

I just finished a class on HST and am doing my quilt in black and white. I found a really pretty print for the border that is large scale black and white and to separate it from the piecing I am going to use a small yellow border. I love the way the yellow makes the black and white pop and that it is a little different.

Welcome from Oklahoma. I too love the black, white and splash of red quilts. They are just so pretty. Hope you find a pattern that you like.
