My favorite (and can't live without them) are my metal, magnetic dishes for pins. I have several all over my sewing room.

An 18" stick down tape measure that I have sticking to the sewing desk. I can just pop the piece down and make sure I have the measurement correct.

I found mine at a yard sale for a quarter. My friend came over an traced a pattern off and made her one. They are neat!
Boy, one of those could sure become my favorite in a hurry. I love my magnetic pin holder. I wish I had another one for my TV chair.

The tool I can't sew without are my reading glasses!!!! I buy cheap 'cheaters' at any store that stocks them! --- I have a pair in every room of the house - in the car - in my purse - sometimes I have a pair on my face and another on top my head and a pair hanging from my shirt all at the same time! LOL

gramquilter2,(It is called Tweezer Snips with Curved blades.
http://www.123snip.com) Thank you so much for the site to order the little snips. I LOVE mine and they are a lot less than at the quilt shops. I just ordered me some so I can have one at each machine, $1.50 shipping is great to boot.

My favorite is something that a friend's husband made for me...
it is a block of wood with a seam ripper imbedded in it...it works great for after chain piecing to cut the threads inbetween.

Favorite tool thingy -- a red round plastic-covered magnet -- it secures needles, my scissors, sometimes my thimble and some pins -- it is really useful when I drop needles and big pins on the carpet and have to search for them (I seem to spend a lot of time doing that) --I could use another one

Couldn't sew without my stiletto. Use it to guide fabric and it makes a great tool for picking out stitches that go array.
