    LOL. You just gotta love this site. I do! You ladies and gentlemen know that you CANNOT die until ALL your fabric is gone. Keep on quilting.

    I know I'll never get caught up....but it's all fun. It's a great hobby and it makes me happy, so I don't care if I ever do get caught up. :) As long as you are happy and doing what you love to do....does it really matter?

    I agree there is always something pending and ideas that "need" to be tried. Just have FUN with whatever you do

    I'm having a great time, even if I am not professional. I just enjoy turning fabric into something beautfiful. Who could ask for anything better

    I agree with EVERYONE! A quilter NEVER finishes! There is always another project waiting in the wings!

    [quote=Karma]I started quilting in 1996 in high school. for a few years all was well. Then i got married and had kids, life got in the way and low and behold my sewing machine got put away (Bernina 1030), after a 5 year break I'm back to quilting and oh my Lord i am buried under a ton of projects! each of the kids wanted one I had been saving fabric for a purple and white quilt (grandma's fan) as well as a yellow and white one (flying geese), i started all of these within a week, then the boyfriend wanted me to make a crown royal quilt (out of his bags he had saved) as well as one for his mom. Now Grandma is hinting about a lap quilt for her.
    =======================================

    I have been working on a memory quilt/crazy quilt for my grandson for over a year. I TRIED to get it finished before today when I was due to give it to him and IT STILL ISN"T FINISHED! I gave it to him anyway! I have the safety pins in it holding the three layers together. I told him to use it this way and I wrapped him up in it! (He just turned seven.) I said after the winter, I will take it back and finish it!! He thinks it's a great idea. He was so happy to get it. (And I am so happy to NOT work on it for a while.) Please remind me not to make a big quilt again. It makes me crazy! And CATCH UP????Not in my lifetime......I even got a fortune cookie which said "You can't live long enough to do it all." Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

    Nope, you never get caught up, especially if you have a list of want to-do quilts, and not just have-to-do quilts. LOL, I wouldn't have it any other way.
