Get a SHARK Steam Mop. It safely steam cleans the floor and is dry in an instant and they just sparkle. I am using one on stone floors that any kind of cleaner other than vinegar leaves a film on. I just love it. It was not expensive either.

I've used Murphy's, this other spray on cleaner that I can't remember the name of, vinegar.... I think I'll try that Bona - sounds good.

I got a new Bissel Steam and Vac for Christmas, I love it. It uses less than a pint of water on our 12 x 20 hardwood kitchen/family room floor. Even though I sweep with the broom first, it still vacs up the fine dirt and amazingly there is not a lot of dirt on the pad after the vac goes before the steam pad. Dirt rinses out of the pad easily and what is in the vac part rinses out too, and then what dries on the part it snaps onto just wipes off with a damp paper towel. I love it and my floor has never felt so clean.

Check to see what is recommended to use on your particular floor. I have white oak floors installed by my DH but sanded/finished by our next door neighbor who works as a hard floor installer. He told me to use vinegar and water --- PERIOD! Says some of that commercial will take finishes off, warp floors or even make them dull...... I do what HE says! V & W also works on ceramic tile, too!

When we had our hardwood floors installed about 7 years ago, the installer told us to use nothing but Bona Floor Cleaner. He gave us a good supply, but since then I've been buying it online. I buy the concentrated bottles that mix with water to make 32 oz. You spray it on and use a terry mop to wipe it off. Our floors still look like new except for the pox marks from the grandsons dropping stuff on it.

this is an older thread, but I had to add my new discovery to it.
I use Bona spray and just picked up this: http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/P...leaningUtility works great and only set me back $20!

That looks pretty cool. So... you just pour the bona cleaner in the reservoir and spray and mop?
