WMUTeach...glad to hear that surgery went well. Take time to heal. and yes quilting is the best therapy.

I don't know about your weather in western michigan...but over here on the east side of the state it is raining everyday ....depressing. hope your weather is better and can get out and enjoy it.

Happy birthday Karen G. About the 19th of June I am traveling to Illinois from Oregon along I 90. I would like to visit some quilt shops along the way. Would you who might live near that Hwy let me know where to stop. And I would love to meet anyone who has the time and i'm along at a good time, not 6am. I plan on about 6 days to get to East Peoria ,Illinois. I have not seen my family in 7 years.

darn Trishb that is still over 6 hours away for me. That would be so fun if anyone from the board meets up...tell us!

There is a quilt shop hop that is going on all summer long. It is called "Row by Row Experience" go to the their website and it will show you a list of all the states and then shops that participate in it. I checked for Peoria shops and this one came up.
Prairie Points
8851 N. Knoxville Ave
Peoria, IL 61615
www.prairiepoints.net

But if you are traveling all the way from Oregon you better add on some extra days just for stopping at all the stores!

Last year I went to about 30 stores that had the "Row by Row Experience". They give you a free pattern and some times they have kits to purchase. I had a great time going to shops I had never been to before. I think it is a win-win for the shop owners...getting new customers. It doesn't start in until June 21. (last year it was July 1st) I wish they would make it starting on Memorial day.

Did anyone else collect patterns from the "Row by Row Experience" ???

Did you make anything with them???

I have a really nice collection of patterns and some kits but have not done anything with them YET!
