I just tallied up my stash usage, and so far this year I've used 56 yards from the stash and purchased a total of 2.75 yards in order to finish some projects. So no impulse purchases, even though I fell in love with Connecting Threads Hanami collection. But I resisted!

Lovely quilts Belfry. Congrats on the fabric usage and resisting temptation.

I'm going to a quilt show this weekend so I'll try real hard to be good.

I am doing well with not buying fabric for the most part. Been talking myself all day out of not going to the tent sale that Keepsake Quilting in NH has. Its a bit of a drive, but I just get a kick out of the auction they have and the boxes of scraps you can go thru and stuff into a sandwich bag. Nice quilt Belfry and congrats and holding back. Good luck Elly. I am still trying to convince myself the more I resist the easier it will be.

Well, please pull me back up onto the wagon. I got the privilege of going to Quilt Market in St. Louis with my boss (LQS owner). What an interesting (and FUN) experience! I wasn't very good, though I did buy patterns too.

As I reach out my hand to help you back onto the wagon...........I think you get a pass on this because you just had a new experience. How about that!!! Never pass up something new to try.

Way to use up the stash, Belfrybat!

LTeacherGeorge: What a great experience! My LQS owner took two of her employees and they shared some of the new ideas and products at my last sewing class. Interesting colors of cork fabric.

Wonderful Belfry...what a stash reduction....inspiring. For those who have fallen...it's just part of human nature, we're not perfect, right?

Right now in the middle of making a silent auction basket of items for quilters. I'm using selvages and stash....have a wrist pin cushion done, the fronts and backs of 2 zipper pouches, and the front of a large needle/project case. Have the front of a sewing machine cover ready to line...using narrow selvages for the side ties. Next is a sewing machine mat with selvages for the front pockets. Going to make a selvage pin cushion. Have a couple other selvage items to make as well. Plan on sewing a coffee mug organizer, too, but not with selvages. This needs to be done by the 16th of June, so better keep plugging away!

Awesome items to put in a silent fundraiser basket, Oksewglad!

I used up several orphan blocks that were either donated or were mine and added a row of D9P blocks (1st time making them) and a few other blocks to make a 72" by 78" quilt top for my church group.

I like that, Connie-- Excellent use of orphan blocks!

way to go Belfrybat-- that's an impressive amount of stash reduction!

I have't been keeping track of my stash reduction. I know I've used at least 17 yards from my stash yardage (any cut that's 1 yard or more) for quilt filler strips, borders and backings. But never thought to keep track of scraps and "precuts"-- Probably another 10 yards anyway....hmmmmmm, stash drawers are definitely looking less full, so that's a good thing

Good day everyone. I have not bought any new fabric in over 2 months. I have not started any new projects, other than working on what I have mentioned earlier a few months ago. I pulled out from my stash for my current project. Now just taking my time working on these project. I do have to admit I want to order out of keepsake quilting magazine. Right now I bending towards the no side. I tell myself I don't need anything. It would be a want. Soooo...it's a no at this time.
