A few years ago I made some bathing suits for my girls. It was hard to find cute 1 & 2 pc suits that weren't showing off too much skin, I made up the patterns as I went along and they came out pretty cute. I made some cotton interlock undies around the same time for my littles (3-4 yrs old), they held up really well. Not for me though, the closest I got was some soft jersey tank tops to sleep in.

I used to make panties and loved doing it. Only made one bra, but that was not so fun. Also made a pair of demin jeans. Those were great and fit well. Long gone....all of them. So is any desire to try again.

My Mom used to make our underwear when we were young. I don't and never intend to. I'll just watch sales, etc. and buy them.

No. As expensive as lingerie fabric is as well as adding the elastic and of course a finer thread/needle.
I think its still cheaper to buy my panties. LOL

Yes, I sew my panties and in the old days, when my girls were in high school I made theirs too. All the other girls in the gym class wanted me to make them some, I passed on that idea. I have tried to make a bra, did not work out well and was very expensive for all the different materials that it takes. So I will just stick to the panties.

I used to make tap pants and cami's and loved the results. But that was when I was young and sexy! LOL.

Undergarments are the items I never want to sew myself.

Heck no, even though it doesn't look like there's much to it; I don't do clothes anymore except some repairs.
