I'm new to quilting too and have only done quilts using layer cakes, sewing the squares together and adding borders. What is the 10 minute block or some other easy patterns that I should try? Thanks.

I need to start a frog quilt. I just need to think up the background theme. Then I need to do a "book" quilt for a teacher. After that there is one waiting that is jet to be determined. That is not saying anything about all of the ones that I dream of doing!

The top 2 entries on my list are 2 lap throws for my daughter and her fiancee. I seem to have a mental block where these are concerned and keep setting them aside. I have moved the fabric to my cutting table so I've either got to get them started or work around them.
