Don't you love it when the brain finally clicks in and you have that inspired moment. Take good care of that gal.

Looks to be in good shape. Hope you enjoy using it. Does anyone know where or how to find out approximately how much these machines are worth? My cousins has a Singer Treadle made in 1879 with at least 10 attachments, She has someone who wants it but she is reluctant to sell it as he only wants to give her a pittance. Some I have seen on this forum are really in great shape for their age. Must be because more care was taken when they were manufactured. It is amazing that they can all be tracked.

There may be a better source, but I look on ebay and Craig's List and can get an idea of what they're worth. Or at least what they're trying to sell them for. For your old 1879 treadle, I'm not sure. That sounds really rare. Maybe that's a good question to post to get others opinions from the experts.

So I asked him to bring it to me to check out and found this Singer sewing machine, 99K, EL 429080. It seems to be in good condition (I cleaned and oiled it this morning) and it sews well. She left notes about her possessions and she calls it a 3/4 head. It's not very heavy but maybe a little bigger than Featherweight? Can anyone tell me about this machine and what year it was made? Does anyone use all the attachments (picture #3)? They're interesting! It also has the original manual. I'm glad my mind finally clicked (thanks to posts I've been reading) but I do feel a little foolish for not thinking of it sooner!! ops:
