HI ,
Well I want to thank you for the lovely and kind sentiments (everyone)...You know it is always a sad thing when we compare ourselves to others....
You know I admire many quilters myself..and I am practicing to always get better..I would like to get into show quilting and work some some labor intensive projects...but that will happen in due time. Anything worth anything...takes time, hard work and practice.
So don't give up! Also just an FYI:
I hate SID on DSM...(it is even harder on a long arm) so I try to avoid it at all costs! LOL Ask anyone..I charge extra for it! ( most LAQ do)
I also would have never attempted to get a baby quilt through my DSM..I was spoiled and rented a long arm...before I had my own. So those of you who get those huge quilts through your DSm's I am always amazed and in AWE myself!
We all have our "gifts"
I hope you post pictures..so we can all oooh and awe! Because at the end of the day..you should be proud no matter what! quilting is such a special thing.

To me, quilting is the worst part of the process. I can't bring myself to let someone else do it. Luckily, I don't like a lot of quilting, because I don't want it to steal the limelight from the pattern and fabrics. I seriously want to take another try at hand quilting.

I like to use a very, very narrow zig zag stitch for SID. If you are off a bit, it doesn't show as much  The same with using a serpentine stitch :D

I am in the procesds of SID, well maybe not all in the ditch, lol. Am over half way done so it will to do. But on the next one I will defin. use the tips shared on here. Have used the machines built-in stitches on the sashing and borders and have been pleased with those. Thanks to all that shared their tips!!!
