Congrats to you. When I was working at a thrift store, I came across the EQ5 and bought it for $1.00...now if I can figure out how to use it.
Once again, great find.

Merry Christmas to you!!! I have had years like yours, and one year what I did was buy a notebook and write down my mother's story, (she was still alive then). I spent time with her, laughing and crying. She often said it was the greatest gift she ever received. I was a change of life baby and didn't know much of her earlier years of marriage. I took the pages, typed them up and made copies and gave it to each family member. I wish I would have recorded her voice. Time is the best gift of them all. Christmas is not about presents and how much we give or get.

This has been a tough year, we had to call the kids and tell them that we couldn't send any presents this year. We had already decided not to do presents for each for ourselves but it was a killer telling the kids and grandkids we couldn't get them anything either. I have been soooo depressed. This was a nice little surprise and really lifted my spirits.

WOW, that is a great deal! Good for you,you deserve it. Remember Christmas is not about what you give and receive but the ones that are special in your lives. You cannot buy love, health, and happiness but they can be stolen so do not let anyone ever take that from you. HUGS

Val, you need to remember you have given your kids and grandkids the BEST gift of all YOUR LOVE. Every has things, some more than others. But LOVE has no price tag and it is the BEST of all. Enjoy your new toy, but most of all ENJOY your family.

That is so awesome for you. I always figure that I am the only one who doesn't find anything at those stores but maybe we all have our day eventually. Merry Christmas to you.

Default Christmas Idea

Christmas has gotten so commercialized, we all need to get back to the basics, back to the real meaning of Christmas. A sharing from the heart is the best gift of all.
I'm thinking about trying something new this Christmas instead of the regular "gift" thing... I would like to sit around a table and pass out a piece of paper for everyone and have them write their name on it. Next they would pass it to the next person who would write down something they love and appreciate about that person whose name is at the top. The paper would get passed all around the table.

Let's hope our heads do not become enlarged but that we will be encouraged to be the best we can be for the Lord!!

It seems as if you had a blessing of a gift into your hands.

Forgive my ignorance what is electric 5???

I was wondering the same, what is Electric 5. I will look it up on line. We too are not having the best of Christmas this year. Times are hard all over. But I am grateful for all I have and my wonderful family. God has been good to us.
