I have never had a problem finding a room. Last year I didn't star looking for one until two weeks before the show. But doing it at last minute doesn't stress me. I'll find one or I'll drive out of town until I find one. It's nothing I worry about.

I went and had a great time. I met some people who had gone to Houston and they said Paducah was much nicer and they would not go back to Houston.

GO,go, go. It is a great experience. Elanor Burns has a tent at the race track and she puts on a free show. The rotary has a display of antique quilts. And I agree about getting the strawberry shortcake from the Boy Scouts.
I will be there.

It is the greatest! Comfortable walking shoes are a must! I have never seen so many beautiful quilts. It is my dream to go again!

I agree. You need to allow yourself plenty of time. There is so much to do and see.

I plan to go this year. Have been to the International Quilt Show in HOUSTON< TX twice and loved it! Alex Anderson is a hoot! Can't wait to go to Paducah, KY to see how it compares.

I went to the one in Lancaster for the first time. I had been told by several shop owners that it was not the best, but I had a wonderful time. I stayed at a hotel that was on the quilt show bus route. I came as close to shopping til I dropped, as you could go and not really drop. It was great but I don't have anything ti compare it to. I live about an hour and a half from Lancaster but I like to stay a few days. There is so much to do there.

If you get to go, check out the 'book store' where they sell AQS books for about $5. It's in the Hinkle Building downtown but the trolleys stop on the corner right at the door. And Eleanor Burns' tent show is a don't miss stop. rusty
