I'm confused about the pins. If you turn it, won't all the sides be the same, so why did you mark it?

Because the cut was on the bias, it will stretch differently, or shrink in the wash and not all sides will do so equally. So the instructions say to keep the top and bottom and side pieces on the origianal way before cutting. By marking it with pins and lettering the back side with a top, right, bottom, and left there are no mystery on original placements. I also have stay stitched before cutting the 'x' across the square. That helps, too. Have two more almost ready to put together this morning. Hope that answered the question, Givio. Interfacing or bias seam tape could be appplied before cutting on the bias 'x' so it would not stretch, also...before getting it seam together.

Have a great day.

Sometimes we just don't see what is in front of our face....major error in Wild Flying geese. I have them flying into the center, wrong... they are suppose to fly outward! I feel like the woman the cop stopped. Lady he says, did you not see the arrow back there? No says the lady, I did not even see the indians. LOL. Rippppppp time. Laughing and correcting the error.

With using scraps cut all which-a-way for all the little 6" blocks we made, I haven't been thinking about large triangles cut on the bias. So, that's what the pins were for!

Getting your 'ducks in a row' and heading the geese to the four compass points. :-) People probably wouldn't have noticed it.

If I notice it and its wrong, then it has to change...at least I found it before I made all 20 blocks. Ten are 'positive' and 10 are 'negative'. When I get them done, I will share a picture again.

Dh checked out fine at the Retina Specialist in K., today. Then he had to go to the daily med place and have a splinter taken out of his right foot that he had gotten it last night in his room. It made us come home late tonight by the time he finished there...it was dark, dark night. Our neighbor who drove us, just got us in home had a call from her son who had gotten sometime in his eye and his wife could not dislodge it at all. So we give them the Retina specialist number, along with our prayers.

Oh my... always something, isn't it? Hope all recover well.

I just got home from the annual "Ladies's Night Out" at church. It was wonderful. Great meal and fellowship and then the presentation was a very gifted lady who acted out the story of Esther. She was just captivating. And at the end she sang... with the most amazing voice! I was so blessed.

I am so sorry I have been MIA. I guess I have just been in a fog. I am call it hospital brain. DM is doing better each day. Some days she takes a step backward but now we are going forward more than backward. I took 2 days of "duty" so DSis could do stuff w/her DH on Monday & Tuesday. So I had 2 days "off" yesterday & today. DH & I drove down to Brady & did a couple of things. (I also washed my hair there as the water in Midland is soooo hard.) We also got the trailer & brought it back so as to be able to take another load that way. Today I played w/my embroidery machine. This evening was my Great Aunt's visitation. DSis got DM ready for it. I only had to help get her in the car. DM was sad. Actually DM has been "sad" for a while now. I think we are getting through to her that she has to get up & moving. #2DSis told her that all the things she is worried about (ie. pneumonia, bladder infection, & water on her legs) will either be prevented or taken care of by getting up & walking. I think DSis saw signs that Mama took her seriously today.

Hi Everyone!

Pray for us in Tn, and the other southern states with the wild fires. Me and hubby can't breathe in it so we have not been out. We need rain so bad.

Looks like snow here; it hit Northern Iowa, I think. We need rain or snow, its so dry here. Taking one day at a time or one hour at a time. Looking for that silver lining in the clouds, waiting for our ship to come it as DGM always said.
