I have not made any, but I recieved 4 as a gift from a friend. I immediately took them and put them under my glass coasters in my living room. they look terrific. Everytime I see them, they remind me that a very special lady made those just for me. It makes me feel really special. Handmade gifts, more especially since I make things, are better. There is so much thought and a persons time is such a gift.

I used to make them years ago but I just called them small potholders and used them to set my cup or glass on.

Oh, I like that idea. I never know what to make for their little gifts. I'm planning on making my step-daughter a new table runner with placemats. I think I'll add mug rugs to the set.

I gave her a set when I first started quilting about 6 years ago. I saw it last year at Christmas dinner at her house. I said, "oh my....you need new ones cause I can quilt much better now". They laughed because they loved it anyway. It was nice to see my early work and see how much I've grown in my quilting abilities. LOL

I made some for the family reunion. The fabrics were of teacups and cupcakes and they were big enough for cup/glass and snack! Planning on making more for presents.
