Usually just quilts, but curtains and pillow cases...not clothes...just not my thing.

I have been sewing since I was a child. I have done prom, bridal, and other clothing construction. I still do alterations but very little of the rest these days.

I used to sew a lot of different things-- clothes, simple upholstery. Then I started making quilts...

I've been sewing and making my own clothes for 40+ years. I used to sew for my husband and son. Quilting is a lot more fun than making clothes.

I use to make clothes for myself, my kids and then my grandkids. Now I only want to quilt. I am making a purse right now which I will finish today. (If I get off this computer that is) lol. I will post it later. I haven't posted a picture yet since I only joined the group about a month ago so wish me luck with my limited computer skills.

Started sewing about 15, clothing. Then some toys, picked up some knitting. Kept up with the clothing but started quilting when a coworker showed me her art. Joined a group and met some wonderful ladies and the rest is history.

I really love to sew. I used to make the kids clothes. However, they got old enough to fight back! LOL
I do still sew clothes though. For my dolls. I make porcelain dolls and sew their bodies and clothes. I'm not terribly good at it (hence the kids fighting) but, I do enjoy it. The bodies stay together while being stuffed and the clothes look good. I really need to get a BabyLoc. I also crochet, knit. and embroider. Not a lot of the other since I "met" quilting though.

I've been sewing for close to 50 years and enjoy all forms of the art! Quilting, while I love it, is only one part of the sewing I do and enjoy.
