He paid you what he felt it was worth to HIM. You should be proud of the great work you did and do as your DH says. A beautiful quilt he and his DGD will enjoy for years.

I agree, it was worth it to him and now you know that there are people who truly value your effort. I think its' wonderful. Still feeling guilty? Make a charity quilt!

What a wonderful thing it says about your work. Accept it, give your self a big pat on the back and know that there are those that value your work and show it. If he had not thought it was worth it, he wouldn't have paid you that.

Do as your husband says and be grateful that this man knows that your time and effort is appreciated. So many times people will say, it is how much I can make that for much less. Of course my reply is then please do so.
I wish that there were more people who appreciated what goes into a handmade item.
Oh, you did a great job

I have to agree with everyone else and if you think you were overpaid do something nice of a charity or put it in your sewing fund for when someone doesn't appreciate the value of your work. If you don't value yourself and your abilities n one else will either.

You got paid appropriately for your expertise and skill. Sure wish everyone understood that concept! How lovely to have a gentleman know what your skills, time and material are worth!!! The quilt is adorable and you did a great job on the embroidery!
