I got 10 more of my blocks done. Only 15 left to go and I can start assembling the top.

Not hard at all. Here is the tutorial I always use (although I do make it just a bit shorter than listed): http://www.vanillajoy.com/pillowcase-tutorial.html
Or another easy way to do a pillowcase: google "hot dog pillowcase". It's an easy, clean way to do a pillowcase.

Whew! A long weekend of quilting. I finished making and quilting (stitch in the ditch) all 120 blocks for my log cabin quilt - I'm doing a quilt as you go method. Today, I started piecing them together. I got the first two rows of 10 blocks completed. I'm very happy how it is all going together and especially how it is turning out. The quilt is for my son's bed and he said it is getting very pretty. I love making things for my kids because they love the end results.

Back of the quilt - each square is a different color. The back will have a pattern - not just be random placement of colors.

Front of a block all SITD!!

I got the binding all sewn, so the quilt is DONE! It's 9 p.m. on the West coast. Good night everyone!

    Beautiful Ranchwife!

I got the middle of the quilt, the inner border and one side of the outer border quilted on the zoo donation quilt. It was so nice outside that I just couldn't bring myself to stay inside all day, so I didn't get as much done as I had planned. Time now to finish cruising the forum, then to bed! Hope everyone enjoyed spending their day in their own way!

Jumping in here late, but I have been appliqueing robots on a blanket for a baby shower gift this Wednesday. I'm sort of pushing it to the last minute. Have threads to tie, label to make, and back to sew on. I'll post later when I get it all done. This is such a supporting group. Love it!

Well, it is Monday morning and I am now finding out yesterday was VQD! Sorry I missed it. I was actually quilting. It would be nice to know these things ahead of time like the last one, so I could get it on my calendar. Life has been a little wacky here the last couple weeks, because of a very sick dog. So I read minimal threads on the QB. Had to put him down on Friday, so I am still not very functional. My Great Dane misses her brother terribly, so I have been giving her more attention than quilting.

Ranchwife, could you show us how you finish the seam on the back. They look beautiful; as if you crawled inside and sewed them RST. How'd you do that?
