I am enjoying the projects. Thanks for sharing.

I finished a quilt top from donated 9 patches to my church group. There were around 270 of them and I used 66 of them in this finish. I needed to trim them first and then I added the sashing for a 7” Block. I added the plain blocks and it now finishes 72” by 78”. The top will now be given back to my church group to sandwich/bind/tie. Then it will be donated.

Depending on the setting for the rest of the blocks, I may get 3 more quilt tops from the 9 patches. Definitely a work in progress to use up those 9 patches.

Wow! some nice working going on here. I printed out three rabbit paper peiced patterns yesterday, and got them sized correctly for my project. I did get some newly purchased fabric washed, but didn't get any sewing done.

I need to get teh quilt bound this AM so I can take it to the guild meeting this afternoon - so time to get busy!

Oh my gosh, that lamb is adorable. Everybody here is so amazing. Rob's artistic quilting and giquilt's tiny, perfect sashing, and midwife's already finished quilt top.

And cashs_mom, those hexies look so small! How big will your quilt be?

Thanks girls for the sweet reaction to the lamb pillow. The fabrics were moda fat quarters I had in my stash.

I love seeing the projects in the thread. How interesting each persons work is. This is fun and I will attend again. It is good incentive to work with such positive reinforcement.

I'm starting to assemble my fabrics to use with a panel called "Tree of Life" from the Fantasia movie.....I think. Want to make an oversized queen quilt for a wonderful couple's belated wedding gift. Having a "block" as to how to make it large enough. Want to add sashing between the panel and the next row of whatevers. Thought of adding various blocks for each row until it is large enough. Here's one suggestion with fracturing it but I'd use either a black or navy between the strips. Just don't know what blocks to use though. Thought maybe logcabins, stars with sashing between each row of blocks. Suggestions appreciated. Here's a photo of the fabrics I've collected to use, comes from the same collection as the panel. Have other fabrics I can use too.

Count me in. I have two appliqué projects that I want to work on and borders to cut and attach to a quilt top.

I've got my SBS quilted and ready to take the the guild meeting. When I get back I'll start on the rabbit quilt. That one should be fun!

Macybaby, glad you finished in time!

I had a great time quilting with friends (quiltingvagabond, we were at Stitches in Glendale). I'm thrilled with how much I got done and we had lots of fun. Probably done quilting for the day as there are other things that need doing! An Annies catalog arrived today that has a few (just a few!) items that look appealing. I managed to get the log cabin QOV top pieced, will put the borders on tomorrow and sandwich it.

Loving the different projects, we have such a wide variety. I'm trying not to get any new ideas
