I use it all the time because where my room is, I get the "last" of the Ac, and it's never cool in there.

I have thought about recording the sound of a fan so in the winter when we don't need the cooling it would take the place of the actual fan. But I haven't ever done it! I just use my fan all year round.

I so wish I could run the fan at night. My husband, aka Mr. Grumpy, can't stand anything blowing on him. He sleeps under two quilts and a sheet while I sweat under 1 sheet  Its a major battle to have the airconditioner turned on because he feels cold (da-- his skinny little butt ;) ;)

Me too. i run a ceiling fan and a fan right beside me all year long. I have to feel the air movement and I am addicted to the quiet lull of the fans also. I know I have been doing it for over 30 years.

Oh my gosh YES!! I even take a fan with me when we travel.. hubby sleeps under several blankets (no kidding)with an electric blanket backup, and I sleep with just my summer jammies and my feet tucked under one blanket.. We are fire and ice... especially when we sleep.. crazy! He thinks I'll freeze and I wonder how he can breath under all that stuff!!

You are NOT crazy. I sleep with a small fan blowing on me all the time. Regardless of time of year. Hubby doesn't like it but he keeps covered up. I cover sometimes but usually not.

Keep it purrrrrrring.

We do too, in the winter it is situated so it doesn't blow on us and in the summer it blows over us. If we forget to turn it on, one of us usually wakes up during the night complaining that it is too quiet and gets up and turns it on (we live in the country and it really IS quiet!)
