Have a great day, it great that your hubby will take you shopping! Mine has gone on a couple of road trips with me. I always try to find a great place to eat when we do this.

I would spend the day with DH and do what you want the following day you have off. The best of both worlds. I think he would be very pleased to see you making the item using the fabric, pattern, thread, or whatever that he purchased for you.....so sweet.

I live in Texas so I shop both those stores and several others online. That is until I went on this fabric diet, ahem!!

I'd take along a few patterns and/or books because when you see some fabric you like, you don't want to be guessing about yardage. I'd also take comfortable shoes and some healthy snacks to keep your strength up! Have a great day!

It's not the normal thing even for a DH to volunteer to take you quilt shop hopping and buying. Your DH has taken an interest in your hobby and wishes to spoil you, humor him and enjoy your day... We want to see pics of your birthday haul from the PA quilt shops... :-D :-D :-D

Happy Birthday

OK, here it is the evening before I join the 40-club. Hubby just told me he is planning on taking me to Lancaster for the day tomorrow (Shady Maple all-u-can-eat smorgasbord for breakfast first), then to 'quilt shops' to go shopping. My question is, if you were me, what would you plan on getting??? Hubby NEVER EVER took me to Lancaster for shopping before. I literally do not have any quilting friends, except for here. I told him I was planning on coffee @ 9, mimosas at 10, then quilting in my PJs all day.

I am with you in spirit. I enjoy quilt kits.
Robin in Brownwood TX

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

(who's STILL hoping for tons of snow on her birthday!)

Happy Birthday to you, - glad you had a mostly good time on your special day. And hey, as the Mom of m-a-n-y dogs thoughout the years, the damage could have been way worse. How about a crate while you are away? Works for us and the 3 French Bulldogs. We used to live in Bucks County, but before I was interested in quilting. Good to know Lancaster is a little treasure.
