    ad says:
Metallic teal color with rare gold and colored designs throughout the machine (not stickers or decals). Beautiful silver metal filigree design on sides. Comes in original faux alligator skin carrying case. Case has wear.

Really, not decals. So I guess it was hand painted.

The precision deluxe is unusual to me. I think I've seen one or two other 27 clones but not many. Certainly not as many were made as the 15 clones. I think this is the first one I've seen that isn't black. The decals are gaudy enough I looked to see if it was made in China and not Japan. Japanese machines are generally less loud than that.
I wouldn't pay the asking price but at least it's interesting.
    Neat find.

I just took a good look. A 128 clone instead?

Another seller that used a chimp cam.
You're right. It looks like it could be an interesting machine. We'll never know with those pictures. Who used a chain lift on their treadle cabinets? Was it Standard?

I thought the same thing at first, but that bed decal is definitely different. The Singer decal has a shield. The Precision Deluxe is more rectangular. You can definitely see what they were trying to emulate though. The "flourishes" in the upper right are different too.

Why would that be made in Japan in 1911? Frankenmachine.

Somebody pinned it on Pinterest about 30 weeks ago to a vintage machine area. The case wasn't broken then. AND it didn't have a slide plate. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/9148005466732266/

I suspect that someone "dated" it using a serial number they saw on it, and a Singer dating chart.
