A small mangle (I've seen them at department stores) to press my blocks really flat. That would probably take the entire amount.

OH and Superior threads has a couple of thread classes I would love to take (learning about all the different thread types and the other is thread play)

You are so lucky with your sewing room. I would also love to see pictures.

    Have fun spending the money.

This is off topic but you mentioned comic book boards for fabric storage and I have heard of others using this but looking at them they look so flimsy. Do they really work? I thought you needed something like the plastic ones they sell.

Yes, or how about the Martell Kwik Spinner for your thread spools. I love mine.

How about putting it toward a really good camera and starting a second hobby? Or you could use it to document all of your future quilts. You could start to make historical quilts or some other specialized quilts and then write a book about all the things you've learned about the special quilts and use your quilts as the documentation.

Myself...I would like to buy a new foot for my quilting machine as I have found one that I think would help me see better while I work. That magnifier that someone else mentioned sounds pretty nice too. I guess I'm getting blind in my older age.

Extra batteries for my cell phone, and perhaps one of those hands free gizmos.

have you thought about a quilt bus tour? or perhaps a quilt retreat? i have quilt guild friends who have done these two kinds of quilt trips and they say they are GREAT. they get ideas, and sometimes fabric and generally have a great time getting to know other quilters. and it is just about YOU.

Do you have a good stash of batting? It would be nice to have a bolt of batting on hand and a variety of types (cotton, wool, silk, fusible, insul-brite) for whatever project you have in mind.
