I know you mean"which quilt do you least like", but I could not resist this thread. I don't like to be unkind but I doubt she would win Miss World .As you say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have to agree with you Linda (wildyard). So far I have made 3 baby quilts and I am in the process of handquilting my king size (which is actually the first one I pieced). I know I made mistakes and my "handquilting" leaves quite a bit to be desired. But I think it is beautiful and I can't wait till it's finished and on my bed.

I did not see any ugly quilts on this post. Although I prefer traditional vintage looking quilts, I love every quilt that I see. Every quilt reflects the love and talent of the quilter. I had a blast reading the comments!!

I would kill me a dog if I found him walking on this much work! And this from an animal lover! This quilt is fabulous! I guess beauty really IS in the eye of the beholder. I have a crocheted blanket made from leftover yarn in many different colors that I call my UBE (rhymes with boobie), stands for Ugliest Blanket Ever! I have an UBE quilt in progress...once I finish the nes currently in progress - typical "shoemaker's children have no shoes" syndrome! My goal for the UBE quilt is to use all the sample blocks that don't match, make them the same size and just go for it. The uglier the better!

LOL, klgls, I love your quilt. I agree the colors are unique and unusual in combination, but I think it's cheerful and organic looking and I'd love to have it on my porch swing. I'd add some throw pillows in the softer blue, green and yellow with perhaps a red and darker blue and green button or square center for accent. I really, really LOVE it!!!

Well this was an epic failure posting! the lot are all very pretty. I think as said many times in here we all judge our own work so harshly. I can say I tried the mystery train scrappy and went true scrappy I HATED it had to give the top away. The woman who took it loved it and made a quilt for one of her family members out of it. She loves real scrappy. I am a controlled scrappy (is it scrappy if you control it?lol). I love the vintage look quilts here especially. and the one near this post that the owner was having trouble even putting it together is a beauty in waiting. I think that a bit of red is exactly what it needs (good call) and its a wonderful quilt. go for it then show us what you have done. you might even be surprised.
