Virtual Quilting Weekend - August 30-Sept 3, 2018

Cleaning out garage, nothing fun. Threw out 2,200 pounds of stuff. So tired now. It took 17 years to get rid of things from in laws that past. Start living in the present, let go of the past. Don't want my children to have to do this after my death. What a mess it was. Still half of a garage to do but getting better.

Sorry you are dealing with that - physically and emotionally exhausting! It will be a huge relief for you once it is done!

Looks like everyone has been busy. Well, I'm still working on clearing my sewing/cutting table to make room for quilting my grandson's quilt. Yesterday I finally got the backing together and today I was able to finish up the August "puzzle" blocks for the Cotton Cuts BOM mystery. This mystery is great for the busy quilter .......... you pick out the colorway and they cut the pieces and each month you get the pieces and instructions.

Love the tree of life especially the fractured one. So far Mathis weekend I got my daughters initial partiality quilted. Still have a little over half to scribble shadow then start the grid work. Also got some more embroidery done on my butterfly quilt. I hope to finish this block this weekend then only have two more blocks to embroider, one of which I have to redesign and appliqué.
i sympathize with garage cleaning having to do that too.

The hexies are one inch on a side. I have no idea how large the quilt will be. For now it's just to learn and perfect stitches. I'm expecting to not get farther than a lap quilt though. lol
