Love the contrast in your block; very nice. The weather is looking better for our retreat. I head up there tomorrow. DH says if the temps are not high enough to suit him, then he insists he is driving me up there. What a valentine!!!!

I don't think you can make a mistake on this project. I have seen many photos of these quilts on the Carol Doak Yahoo Group. They look great whether you have a fabric theme or not!

I am doing 50 Fab Stars, the Farmers Wife Sampler, the 2012 BOM here, and finishing the 2011 BOM House quilt, and have not purchased any fabric to speak of except a FQ here and there. Yes!

Hello everyone! So glad I saw this posting. I just received the Carol Doak book from I Amazon. I have several of her other books too. I've recently taken up paper piecing and love it. I also belong to 3 other BOM's but I'm usually finished with those by the end of the 1st week. One block a week is a manageable goal. I love stars and these will make a beautiful quilt. I'l begin working on my blocks tomorrow & will post pictures as I complete them.

Welcome Patricia.... I've never paper pieced before and I'm loving this project. Just wished I did not have to work full time.... It takes away from my sewing time. Can't wait to see your stars.

Come on in...the water is fine! Hate having to work full time too...it's a bummer on the sewing...good thing I'm a night owl.
