Sandy!!!
Woo! Hoo! That is so awesome!

CarolJ,
I do the same thing with the calories. I hover between 12-1600. I rarely hit it on the spot! I've noticed when I want the scale to move I eat 1200 for two days and then 1600 the third. It feels so rich to have the extra 400 calories!

We will be here next month, and ready to go!

Carrie, are you surviving the storms?

woo hoo... I'm down another 2 lbs! 145.5! :D Now the hard part... to get down below 145 and keep going!
I truly believe that stress in our lives (present or past) has a direct effect on our metabolism and ability to lose weight.
Everything I have read about healing your body, getting control over emotions, etc... is to surround yourself with positive people. When there is a negative atmosphere, either real life or cyber life you cannot lose weight or overcome depression. Keep focused on your goals and don't look back. You can't sew a straight seam if you are watching the needle.. you have to look beyond that point.

'Morning, all. Whoops, it's 12:03. I guess it's good afternoon. I have my days and nights mixed up again. Irregular sleeping stalls weight loss, too.

Congratulations, Sandy and Leota. You are amazing to able to lose weight in your circumstances - post surgery for one and a lot of stress in the other.

Hope everyone is okay out there. The road between Cadillac and Traverse City is hilly and curvy. I came home yesterday in intermittent downpours with tornado warnings. My daughter kept calling - like I would answer the phone in those conditions. I finally pulled in a parking lot and called her so she could relax. It's still pouring. The dogs refused to go out this morning - not that I blame them.

Off to clear off some flat surfaces, finish a quilt and mop the kitchen floor. That's enough for one day.

My in-laws (whom we don't really care for) decided that they want to pay to have my van windows fixed. It's still storming.

That's good news, Carrie. Just goes there's some good in all of us. Have you ever made them a lap quilt? Seems like a fair trade, then you wouldn't like you owe them anything.

I was getting worried about you. Glad to see your lovely smile here.

Just as I was getting ready to get in the bathtub, the TV went crazy with warning noises. I didn't get in there in time to see what was scrolled across the screen and it wasn't repeated. Really makes you want to get in the tub. If I'm going to blow away, I'd prefer to be dressed. Don't want to scare the neighbors. But I'm still here and clean so I can get to work before my tutoree arrives.

Just looked at a dietbetic weight lose site and it said a woman 5ft should weigh 100lbs and you add 5 lbs for every inch over to get your ideal weight. Under5 ft. Subtract 5lbs per in. Men start at 106lbs and add 6. Lbs per inch. 95lbsX 11= 1045 calories. The doctors should get together.

Oh Lord!!! SWChick I hope that isn't right! I thought if I got down to 150-175 I would look and feel pretty good. But that is not even close to what I should weigh. I'm 5'2"
