Sounds like a nice way to spend a few days to me. Glad you had a great vacation. I understand the not being able to take any time away from home due to financial strains.

What a wonderful weekend.
I live just to the south of the original Glasgow in Scotland and my husband is also very keen on fishing-in fact he is out fly-fishing just now.
We are both passionate about our hobby and try to give each other space.
I envy you your choice of accomodation.
