Good grief! I would have liked to see what color you would have been, if you had been saying that instead of typing...I bet it would have been some shade of blue. I can honestly say, that is the longest sentence I've ever seen in my entire life...way too funny!
Back to the thread, keep 'em both!!!

The adage I love seems to fit this situation: "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

You sound like me ...that's why I keep my sewing area really messy ... things can appear and DH never knows LOL. On the flip side of the coin, my DH has the garage which is equally as messy and I would NEVER know if something appeared in there and I know for a fact it has ... so what is good for the goose is good for the gander ..... hehehehehe. Truthfully, though, DH might grumble around but that's it as long as I use whatever it is.

I've got 2 treadles, one an Singer yr.1896, and a Singer Red Eye, I could never give either one up. To keep DH happy I tell him what they are worth first, and then I tell him how much I paid for them (1896 was a gift, Red-Eye, I paid $25.00 for cabinet and all). He then thinks I am a great bargain hunter, and doesn't have any problems with them.

Keep them both! Rearange the living room while he is gone and add the new machine. "What? That OLD thing? We have had that for ages...dont tell me you've never noticed it before...or are just getting old and forgot we had it?" :)

I am so proud of you for being so "bad" to just turn loose and buy what you want. Keep the other sewing machine too. I have a new computerized machine which doesn't do things my old machine(gave to a friend) did, so sorry I gave it away.
With hubby going on his fishing trip, he should not complain about your buys.
