The "feel better" approach just might work!

The last two I bought are for the church sewing group. Honestly. And I've currently got a bid on one. FOR THE SEWING GROUP!

Like one of our Board ladies said, "Ask him how many fishing rods, shot guns, tools, etc he needs for his hobby"

I'm no help - i just bought a featherweight and already have 2 vikings... back in the late 60's i was looking for kitchen items for my college apartment and came across an old treadle and still have it! Never did buy kitchen items, my roommate had to supply all the wares to stock our new place (smile)

Tell him you found it on 'freecylce' and had to go get it before the children of the sweet little old lady threw in the trash. You save a piece of Americana ;)

Hmmmm, does Hubby have more than one hammer? screwdriver? Gun or fishing rod???? I rest my case: keep them both!

I say keep them both. Oh, I have so enjoyed reading this thread. I only have 7 machines; not all of them are in my house. 2 are in my old house where my DD currently lives. My DH doesn't say anything; if he mentions my sewing stuff, I look at him and say "exactly how many guns do you have?" enough said.
