As a young girl, I remember threading dozens of needles for my grandmother as she sat at her quilt frame. Today, I now know why she needed my help. The eye of those needles just seem to be getting smaller every day!

Since I don't have a patient granddaughter by my quilt frame, does anyone have any suggestions for my "needling problem?"

The Clover Desk Needle Threader. And how cool, it comes in purple now. Mine is boring brown.

Here's the same color as mine:

I can't remember if I've seen these in Joann's or not. But I'm sure you can shop around for a better price.

eta:
Yep, it's in Joann's. So with a coupon that's the cheapest option.

I like how it shows a pink package with a description of green. ;-)

Good idea - I am heading toward JoAnns tomorrow. A cheaper idea than new bifocals! :D

I use the Clover needle threader too. But first I got reading glasses off the rack at Walmart. Made a BIG difference!

Use the clover threader, but put on lots of needles at one time, then just keep pulling one and cutting thread. Just speeds up the threading so you can get back to quilting faster.

My answer is the reading glasses from WM! I had a Clover desk threader - broke on the 2nd or 3rd needle I tried to thread with it. Plus, the needles I use (Roxanne) the wire is too thick with most of the readily available threaders. I love the 3 pack of glasses from WM! About $9 for the 3 pr. instead of the $12-20 that most of the single pairs range. I have them in all different strengths all over the house for different purposes. Just can't get used to the progressive lenses and the prescription lenses I have aren't strong enough. Eye doc said to get drugstore glasses in whatever strength I needed for needlework.
