I used to do craft shows several years ago and anything with a poem or saying attached sells good. Sometimes you can watch people and they will make a dozen trips to look at something so they can copy your poem instead of paying the dollar.

I made nursing capes with matching burp cloths and have not tried to sell any -but for my daughters and their nursing friends, I always include 6 pair of-flannel nursing Pads. took a canning jar or something similar cut 2 circles of flannel and 1 circle of warm and natural. sewed the 3 layers together . . . done. saves the expense of disposable ones and they can be tossed in the wash. the girls love em. I always include a pocket on the cape to hold a clean set for mom. always a hit at baby showers. don't see why they wouldn't sell for you

mug rugs out of sports fabric or I made several out of "cash" fabric and gave them to friends who work in the bank. dentist, teacher, nurse, dr. theme fabric.

I saw a "potato bag" at a quilt show once. You can microwave a potato inside this bag and it comes out cooked nicely. I think that would be a great project. Sorry, I don't know how it is made. Maybe some one here will know.

Car air fresheners (sashets that men would like)

Emergency car kits with flashlight, tire guage, pair of gloves and a little pocket for cash, in Texas a bottle of water would be smart, cheap cutter of some sort (utility knife, box cutter, pocket knife)Make it one of those roll up things they can keep under their seat. You could even but new car smell air freshener to scent the fabric. To really sell these you would need to fill them with all items except the cash. Even then, they wouldn't cost much.

Also, with kids going off to college, laundry bags.

Not for men, girly hairbows with all those wonderful scraps, or binky and sippy cup "leashes".

If it is a sewing show, pin cushions seem to be an easy "thinking of you" gift.

That is all I can think of at the moment.

What a great thread - I love all the ideas. I'm a stay at home Momma so I make things this time of year to help pay for school clothes, the kids sports, and Christmas. I'm going to have to try some of these! ;)
