I'd like to have a pic of that manual and bill of sale for my personal info. Kingston was one of the first badge names Brother put on their machines. I don't think it was for a particular store or distributor(like Wizard or Gambles for example) because it's one of the machine names that Brother used in their own ads. I know that Brother opened their own distribution centers in the US in 1954. If your machine was sold here in 1952, then they must have used another distributor before they had their own here. This also gives me an earlier time frame for that model/style of machine. I'll have to start looking for magazine ads earlier than 1954.

I would have guessed the 1960s until I saw that date. The manual is really in nice shape. But the 1952 date is late December so possibly only a year off - we are in a different part of the country, too. The machine came from a small sewing machine dealer that used to be about a mile from where I live but was picked up out of town. LOL

He is selling it for his mother who is old and he is out of town. Does anybody want it? I think it might be a nice machine maybe a 9. No idea if there is anything with it. There is a hack guy lives up near there... I'm over run here...
