Default New Laundry Detergent

Has anyone out there used the new Purex Laundry Detergent? It claims to be a no sort color protecting detergent,
with Anti-Color transfer technology.

Just wondering if anyone has used it or tried it and does it really work. It would be fantastic if it did and you could wash quilts without a care about color transfer or bleeding.

I am not affiliated with this company and have not tried it.

Thanks

I haven't heard of it, but I sure would be paranoid about using it.

I bought a jug of it several weeks ago and put a red tee shirt, a pair of denim jeans and a white baby diaper in a load among other mixed colors. The white diaper was white after washing. I've about used up the bottle and so far everything has been clean. The next new pair of denim jeans I buy I'll wash them with some yardage of white muslin fabric for the ultimate test. Being paranoid of detergent is for real?

Why?

I've used Purex detergent for a few years now and I really like it. The stores in my area seem to carry Tide, Tide, Tide, Tide, Tide, Gain, Purex, and Tide. I am so sick and tired of the scent of Tide I could barf. I really like the Purex scent, the clothes actually smell clean when they come out of my front-loader, unlike all the other detergents.

I have yet to see the special no color-transfer detergent you're speaking of in my area, but I'll be sure to look for it and give it a whirl.

I used to use Purex in the olden days because it was cheaper. I always thought it did a decent cleaning job, but the formula may have changed in the last 40 years.

After seeing the commercials, I wondered if it contained the same stuff as color catchers or Synthropol? http://www.purex.com/product/purex-no-sort

I use Ecos - it's non-allergenic and approved by PETA. I never sort clothes. The only thing that gets washed separately is a pair of new jeans. After about 10 washes, they are good to go. We wash in cold water. I've made a lot of the shirts, sweatshirts and household items like shower curtains etc. If it can't go in the wash, I don't want it. Quilt goes in by itself just for room in the washer. I had more trouble from a washer that was leaking grease than color transfer.

Somewhere on the bottle it says to wash new clothes items, especially jeans, separately at least 5 times before mixing together. So it isn't exactly no sort. I do the same thing with my Tide!

I use whatever is on sale and I never sort my clothes. When I have enough to do a load I throw it all in
