Default Prewash Insulbright?

Should Insulbright be prewashed before using it in items that will be washed?

The Warm Company suggests no pre-washing is necessary.

I didn't prewash it when I put it in my table topper and it seems to have shrunk

I have made several pot holders with it and did not prewash-I don't think it is needed.

I never pre-wash my batting since it not recommended so I assume the same for Insulbright.
