Has anyone here bought the new Destiny Machine?

It's made by Babylock. http://babylock.com/sewing/destiny/
I was drooling over it just yesterday and tried to search for new comments by users... was not able to find new reviews.

I got my Destiny a week ago. Such a quiet machine. I traded my Brother Quattro for this one. Not thrilled with Disney things so there was no problem getting the Baby Lock instead of Brother (I have owned Brother machines for over 20 years with absolutely no problems). I have my owners classes next week, and look forward to all the bells and whistles training.

I would be interested in knowing the going price on the Destiny. I saw it and was seriously impressed and my dealer always has better than average prices, but she wasn't sure $ wise as she hadn't gotten one in her store yet, but had several on the waiting list.

Ah - Babylock sewing machines are not a big seller here. I've never actually seen one, although there are a couple of online retailers that sell the overlockers and one or two basic machines.

I saw one demonstrated at a LQS. I asked the demonstrator [actually works for Babylock] how much it was, and after much hemming and hawing, and me not giving up, he told me the price is "around" $17,000.
Way to rich for my blood! I bought a Babylock Unity this summer and am still feeling guilty for spending so much for a sewing machine.

Mindsets are strange things. I look at my Ellisimo as an investment and have been thrilled with the machine and what it can do. With these high end machines comes trade ins, free classes, bonus buys on software and help with creating wonderful masterpieces . Yes the Destiny is on the high end but if it's within reach what an awesome machine to have. The videos don't compare to the actual use of it. It's an technical wonder. Those who created this are pure geniuses to have given us such magnificent technology in this sewing and crafting industry. I marvel at such a grand intelligence and am more than grateful for all it offers us. We are truly blessed indeed.
