Default looking for meat loaf pans

I an trying to lower my fat intake, and would like to find the 2 pc. meat loaf pans. Bottom pan is the usual loaf pan, the inner pan has holes so the grease drains from the meat loaf. Has any one seen them, or know where to order them?

Another way to reduce the fat with a meatloaf is to cook in the crockpot.

I make my meatloaf the same as usual, and shape it to fit in the crockpot.
Sometimes I make several in advance, and freeze, already shaped.
Place an upside down bowl/dish into the crock, that is big enough for the meatloaf to sit on top.
If it has been frozen, I let it thaw overnight in the frig.
Then set to cook .... and go and sew!

Since I started this, I rarely do meatloaf any other way, as it soon became my favourite!

I avoid some of that problem by using only the leanest ground beef. That said....I have seen some nice ones on the Williams and Sonoma site, if you want to invest a few more $$. They have very good products, but you should be able to find some that are less expensive. I have drooled over many pieces of their cookware and are waiting for a sale on my choices!

I saw the pan you are talking about at our CVS drug store in the aisle that has items seen on TV or your mall may have a store like that too. Just remember when you find this pan and use it when you take it out of the over hold on to both pieces together. Ask me how I know?

we sell them at our retail store here in Maine, I think they are made by Nordicware or USA Pans. I'm sure you can find them online through Williams Sonoma or Sur la Tab if you want a good quality pan or PM me and I can mail you one from my store.

Have never used a meatloaf pan. I just form it into a shape like loaf of bread/football. I use the leanest of beef but also add 1/2 lb. of ground sausage. Little seasoning since the sausage already is seasoned. Make a ditch down the center and add chopped pre-cooked (drained on paper towel ofcourse). Great meatloaf. May have to get a pan depending on cost.
