Hi Everyone, I've been a little busy with all the guild projects I've volunteered for here in NC.. I made a fall wall quilt years ago and have decided to let them hang it in the Clubhouse for the season..
I am so happy we have a great bunch of gals doing this quilt along.. Love all the colors & pattern designs.. I plan on having another sew-in day..it's too hot to go out...I still haven't decided on the "perfect white on white for this project.. Hoping some of the local shops email about sales for Labor Day next week.
I'm off to redo Becky for next week and maybe grab an easy one so I won't get behind in the future. I have a lot on my plate right now so I better get to it..

Master of color? Thank you!! Picking colors is the hardest part of these blocks for me. My entire wardrobe is navy--never wear colorful clothes so I make up for it in my quilts LOL. Thanks all for the compliments.
Anne, I found the nicest (and I think perfect) white on white: Moda Crackle White on White. I also use the Moda Crackle black on black. Most of my customer quilts are sports related (Pittsburgh you know) and these are not the usual floral WOW or BOB; and the feel of them is awesome. Machine quilt nicely. I got mine at Fabric.com for about $10/yard.

Here's my Ava. I remembered this bright little print, a 30 ties fabric, I think. I had to just use it in this block.
I had a big bowl of my chili for lunch. Then I had a bowl of plain yogurt topped with my cooked apples and peaches...I am sas-sis fied.

Like the rest of you, its pretty warm around here in Jersey, been doing canning still not done, have tomasto jam and pepper jelly to get done before the apples come in, still working on week 3, hope to get done with them and week 4 by this weekend, but for today taking the day off, been out for breakfast, then lunch, and again out for dinner, its my first birthday without my mom since she passed in April, she always did the birthday cakes for us, so guess everyone just wants to keep me busy.

A couple of bright cheerful blocks posted here!
Jeanie, Moda certainly makes a lot of pretty solids!
Best wishes, Teri, for a peaceful birthday. It was my grandmother who always was baking birthday cakes for all of us. Now there is a memory brought back! They were yellow/white swirled 'daffodil' angel food cakes. My mother always baked us kids Valentine's Day cakes, a white cake with whipped cream for frosting and cherries on top. I hope all your memories of your mother are good ones. My condolences.

Love all the blocks; I could just sit and 'pat' each one of them and love them all...bright, beautiful and colorful! I would hate to be a judge and have to 'pick' one favorite, because I love them all! Good job with this week's blocks.
