You can probably find them at Vermont Country Store. They were an acrylic, also dried fast. I still have four of them that were wedding presents in 1962. Have just put new satin binding on them. We've lived in FL almost 45 years, no doubt the reason they lasted so long. Nine months of the year, a sheet is all that's needed. :-)

I have 2 of these sheet blankets and just love them. My DM gave them to me this past fall. I also have the fleece blanket with the satin binding. I just purchased them from Bonton. They remind me of the blankets the Grandma had.

I remember the old blankets of the '50s being very itchy and needing something between you and them.

I think the electric blankets are like the old style blanket fabric. The best insulated blankets to keep the cold and heat from your body were the thermal blankets which had a big weave, like a waffle look. They are impossible to find now. My last one is almost in tatters.
