Default picked up a 66, err no 15, still wrong 115

I saw this at a garage sale and thought. "I don't need another 66 treadle." Walked away. Bought a lemonade from a 4 year old. Looked again. oops front tension , must be a 15. Finally I took a closer look at the tensioner assembly and realized it had some odd arms. Oh a 115! I didn't have one of those. Looked at the bobbin area. Almost a deal breaker. looked through the 5 full drawers and found the bobbin case and a couple bobbins. Bought it. Then I noticed the ( ahem) knee control, How awkward would that be? obviously a user mod. Treadle was missing drive wheel and related parts. Oh well. More fun to get it happy.

I am guessing I have a slide that will fit it.

Knee controller is fine, no problem getting used to it, I promise. You could alway get a pedal if you like to, but I kept the knee controller on a bent wood case machine when I had it rewired. I have used a 99, 201 and an Elna with knee controller. Some cabinets had a combinational electrical trealde setup and it was connected to the main pedal. A 115 is suppose to be faster and lighter running than a 201 with the same motor setup. I am so envious.

I am confortable with knee controllers that take a side pressure. This push forward with the knee doesn't seem like a good idea. I'll have to try it.. after cleaning. hehe. My GF had just read an article about rotary vrs. Oscillating bobbins. Now she'll get to play with this rotary one on a Singer.

Oh, I mean to write that your cabinet looks like it could have thed speed controller connected to the pedal at the bottom of the cabinet. Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks very similar to this type of setup.

Controller was bolted to the frame work, just where you see it. It also had bare wiring. Had to come off anyway.

Not living right, just being lucky. How fun for the new life.

New nest at my sis's car port. She isn't happy.
