Oh so nice! Are you sticking with the other colors?

Pinkflowers:

Staying with the yellow and garnet, but probably changing the aqua to green. The question is which of the many greens in my stash to use. But at the last minute, I may stay with the aqua, as I probably have enough of that too.

Week 1 is finished. I used Triangle papers on a roll.

I pulled my fabrics today and will be taking them to our Monday morning sewing group to cut. Sewing can begin at my Tuesday evening sewing group. I wish I had a sewing group for every day of the week!!

I am so loving what everyone is doing! For me a big part of the enjoyment is seeing the other variations and our own interpretations and color choices. It just wouldn't be the same working on my own and I haven't been able to get any of my physically near by quilters to join me on the mystery.

Yesterday I went bowling with the hubby, was only the 2nd time I've done that this year. I'm saving trimming my units as something I can take to my Tuesday group, so just have to hold on for one more day... then of course I'll still have a couple of days before the next clue.

As we get further into this project there will be less free time! I have a bit of a project that I can start and get through a stage or two before Friday and then put back in its box.

Default Coffee filters

By now you probably have seen/ started to use paper plates to keep units, clues organized. Well I am using coffee filters to keep each set together and then put them on a paper plate labeled with the clue number. Even cheaper than paper plates and being a little bowl like , the units stay put , kinda.

Looking through my craft room trying to find my Thangles from previous mystery quilt I found the formula for Magic 8 half square triangles. Since it has been a long time since I did that method went on you tube and watched the demos. Zipped through them and now I remember why I used this method.
