I just got back from my nieces house. I loved her oak table & chairs and she loved the runner! Here are some photos.

I love the fabric your niece chose and you did a great job on the table runner. I know what you mean about flying by the seat of your pants and then having to change your options. You saved the day!

OH my, it did look great with both borders! You do fantastic work, even if it did end up having to be taken off! She will love it.
