Hello board! I want to know the best way to sew two pieces of batting together to form a cylinder, 1 foot in diameter. I have Brother Computerized Sewing machine with some pre programmed settings I'm planning to use The battings very thin, about 6.6mm thick. Its being used as padding against a wire mesh tube it will be a sleeve over. Would a zig-zag stitch be the best way to go or is there a better way? Also what is a good size in terms of width settings to go with? How would I setup to do a cylinder?

There are several youtube videos available for "how to sew a cylinder"
If you want the batting edges to be butted together - I would use the widest serpentine or multt-stitch zigzag you have on your machine to have a smooth joining.
Taping the edges together before sewing might make the job easier. I think there is some kind of fusible available for joining batting pieces. I have not used it, but others may have some advice about it.
Practicing on a small sample might give you an idea of how the batting will behave.

Depending on how close fitting the batting needs to be on the tube, I'd either tape and then stitch which would be easier to get a tight fit or just use a wide or multi-stitch zig zag. As far as feet go, you'll need to use the foot recommended for the stitch. I don't see that there would be an advantage to using a walking foot. It's for multiple layers. If by "quilting foot" you mean 1/4 inch piecing foot or free motion foot that wouldn't work with a wide zig zag.

(finished diameter * Pi) + 2 seam allowances = desired cut width
ETA if you're concerned about raw edges, you could French seam.
