Sorry, I'm lazy on New Year's day. Fresh jammies, movies all day, and order in Chinese for dinner.

YUMMY! How do you fix your Kraut?

We are having pork cordon bleu with mashed tators and peas and carrots. Pat told me the other day that peas and carrots are his favorite vegetable. I cannot recall that he EVER asked for them. go figure.

Blackeye peas for good luck and you always leave a few peas on your plate. That means you will never go hungry in the new year. Turnip greens for one daughter and me, we love them, pinto beans with ham for another daughter, and baked shrimp stuffed potatoes for everyone. (To did for) and the main entree is aged Prime Rib Roast. I started cooking prime rib for New Year's Day many years ago, back when it didn't cost a bank loan to buy it! LOL

Dad prefers Hoppin' John.

Late Gran always made a variety of wursts, both krauts with good rolls and homemade spicy mustard.

Also jelly donuts for luck.
