Ok I am going to try and give instructions for the bargello baby quilt I posted earlier. I sew better than I give directions so please let me know if you have a question about any of this.
You will need 6 different fabrics, cut a 2 1/2" strip from each one.
Sew all 6 together and press, in the order that you like, then sew that into a tube by sewing the last strip to the first, front to front.
Cut 2 strips at 2 1/4", 2", 1 3/4", 1 1/2", and 1 1/4
unsew the 2 1/4" row between color 1 & 6 set aside and label as row 1
unsew the 2 " between color 5 & 6 label as row 2
1 3/4" 4 & 5 3
1 1/2" 3 & 4 4
1 1/4" 2 & 3 5
Sew rows in this order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Pin every intersection.
This makes a 12 inch block, you can put the blocks together in any way that you like, play around with them and see how many designs you can make.
