I loved them both and will add the directions to my charity quilt folder. Yours came out beautiful, and quick and easy is the way to go when you have so many to do and so little time.

Thank you so much for those directions - I look forward to making one with my group in the New Year. And as someone else said that is a brilliant colour for a man.

if you go to the top of the page, you will see a light brown bar right above the first post on the page. The second item on that bar is "Thread Tools" with a little brown arrow. Click on the arrow and a drop down menu appears. There are 3 options for you to chose from to print, email or subscribe(save on the site and access from your Profile page).

You just might have saved me a great deal of time as I make a quilt for my son for Christmas. Your pattern is perfect for what I wanted to do and it is masculine and clean lines will work with my fabric. Thank you so very much. I've only had the fabric since July and now I'm in the usual pinch, I'll learn some day to start earlier. Nah, why complicate things and do it the right way the first time.

I love the way this looks and it sounds so easy, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I noticed that you straight line quilted in only one direction. I was doing the same on a quilt, then started worrying about the batting not holding on the long, un-stitched areas. Should I not be concerned about this?

Gram2five, I usually straight line quilt either 1" or 2" apart, (2" in this quilt), so I have always figured that was enough, especially since the Warm & Natural batting guidelines are 8-10" (I think!). If your lines were further apart, doing some crossways lines might be a good idea. I have never had an issue with one, but I have only been quilting about 2 years, so I am no expert on this!
