Looks like the perfect Secret Santa gift to me. Great tutorial. I also enjoy making frog pincushions. The white lily one would be perfect for the frog.

That is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. Another one for my To Do list. Thank you for sharing.

Tartan, NativeTexan provided this link yesterday, and I'm delighted to find it - almost 5 years since you originally posted it. It's definitely worthy of the staying power it has on QB. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi I am new here and trying to learn my way around. Did you give the amount of yardage/fabric needed to make this ? even if for one flower & I can take it from there. I found this and followed it here & joined
|
For one flower, you will need 1/4 yard of two 45 inch wide fabrics. You will need batt for the 4 circles but no batt for the 4 extra petals that are put on top of the 4 sewn together circles. Hope you can figure it out from there.
|
It has been a while since I did the water lily and I think you can get the 4 circles from 1/4 yard green and 1/4 yard white but you need a little extra for the four petals that get inserted after sewing the circles together.
