Thank you so much. Now to go with these directions in hand and try those pesky corners again. :^)

You're welcome. Good luck you two! I made the scrappy block because I didn't take pics of the second and third rounds and decided to include them in the PDF. My quilt with the blue and purple is getting the binding stitched on right now. Will share when finished.

Kellen46, thank you for the original tutorial.
oksewglad, thank you for your tutorial also. I have done some more with that and the corners are a lot more consistant in size when finished. When I get most of my blocks for this quilt framed with this, I will post a picture.

Very cool thanks! I just made a pineapple'ish quilt using a slightly different method without the triangles see: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-147014-1.htm

The quilt I made with this technique found its way to Tazmania in the August Doll quilt swap. Lynnie25 and I were able to open our packets today and ooh and ah. Here's the DQ I sent to her. It finished about 20 inches square.

Wonderful quilt!....I am so happy to see your work and know I helped out just a little. What fun it is to have a simple idea and see it spread out as others put their creative stamp on it and make it their own.

Isn't that what it's all about? Your idea planted a seed in my quilt brain and off it grew. Thanks, kellen46. I have another idea for this technique. I will keep you posted!

Thank you for sharing your quilt. It turned out wonderful and gives me the courage to try this pattern.

I will look forward to it. By the way I think the way you used your light and dark blues really makes this quilt pop.
